About Platmart
Platmart is an independent, founder-led Shopify app studio based in Barcelona. Since 2021, we have turned real store problems into focused tools that merchants can rely on.
In 2021, my wife started her first Shopify store, and I helped her set it up and run it. When we decided to run a sale, we installed a price editor app. It changed the prices incorrectly and could not restore them, leaving us to repair the catalog manually.
After that, I looked for another price editor in the Shopify App Store, but I could not find one I trusted with something as important as pricing. So I built my own, with safety and backups at its core, so every price change could be rolled back when needed. That became Platmart Bulk Price Editor.
Later, the same store had another problem. Products representing different colors were separate listings in Shopify, but shoppers needed an easy way to move between them. There was no good way to do this at the time, so I built what became Platmart Color Swatches.
Both apps started with real problems in stores I still help operate. That keeps me looking at every product decision from a merchant's perspective.

Shopify selected Platmart Color Swatches as one of the top 25 Built for Shopify apps of 2025. This recognition means a lot to me after years spent refining the app to create the best possible experience for merchants.

Platmart is fully bootstrapped. I started it as a side project in 2021, and today it is my full-time work. We are funded entirely by our customers, not outside investors. That lets us focus on merchant needs and build for the long term.
Software engineering
I have been building software since 2011, as a developer, team lead, and CTO. I built Shopify products with FORSBERG+two and led engineering at Busfor (acquired by BlaBlaCar). That experience goes into every Platmart app: careful architecture, reliable releases, and systems built to scale.
How we build
We build software we wish existed and want to use ourselves. Instead of adding every possible feature or setting, we design simple workflows that make everyday work easier for merchants.
Prices, catalog data, and storefront widgets affect live businesses. We introduce changes carefully, avoid breaking existing setups whenever possible, and provide ways to recover when an app changes sensitive data.
We use Shopify's native platform capabilities wherever possible. Deep integration improves compatibility, performance, and scale while keeping our apps aligned with Shopify as it evolves.
Merchants can ask for a person at any time, and complex issues go to the support team. Every production change is reviewed by someone who understands it, including work assisted by AI.
