Installation

Swatches appear on your storefront through two app embeds: one for product pages and one for collection pages. Turn on whichever you need, and the app finds where to place swatches on its own.

You enable both from the same place: open the Color Swatches app and click Manage widgets on the home page. For each widget, select your theme, click Enable app embed, and save in the theme editor. The app then verifies the install for you.

Note

New to the app? The onboarding flow takes you through the same setup. You can turn embeds on or off any time from the theme editor under App embeds.

The two widgets

Product page widgetSwatches on product pages. Powers both product-group swatches and variant swatches, so it's the install step both features share.

Collection page widgetSwatches on collection cards, so shoppers can pick a color before clicking into a product.

Both work with all free and paid Shopify themes, including Online Store 2.0, vintage, and Horizon themes.
