Plans and features
Color Swatches has three plans: Standard, Advanced, and Premium. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, and development stores are free with all features.
Group limits
Section titled “Group limits”The main difference between plans is how many product groups you can create:

Need more? Contact support for a custom limit. Hitting the limit doesn’t break anything: existing groups keep working, you just can’t add new ones until you upgrade or remove some.

What every plan includes
Section titled “What every plan includes”Manual product groups, all swatch types, variant swatches (with styling and sections), CSV import and export, out-of-stock and inactive-product handling, custom CSS, and all the developer tools - public metafields, Liquid access, widget events, and structured data.
What Advanced adds
Section titled “What Advanced adds”Everything that builds and maintains groups at scale, plus localization: automations from collections and metafields, linked groups, multi-option groups, collection filters, and translations across Shopify Markets.
What Premium adds
Section titled “What Premium adds”REST API access for managing groups programmatically, a higher group limit, and priority and developer support. Best for large catalogs and Shopify Plus stores.

Hitting a limit never breaks what’s already set up - existing groups keep working; you just can’t add more until you upgrade or make room.
