How long do price changes take?
Section titled “How long do price changes take?”Speed is set by Shopify’s API limits, which depend on your Shopify plan:

Tasks that edit cost per item or margin take about twice as long - the app makes extra API requests to read cost data.
Can I preview changes before applying them?
Section titled “Can I preview changes before applying them?”There’s no dry run - a task starts applying when you create it. Two things make that safe: every change is logged with its old and new values, and any task can be rolled back with one click. To test a change, run it on a small selection first - a single collection or a few products.
Can I undo a task months later?
Section titled “Can I undo a task months later?”Yes. Every price change is backed up, and rollback works for any completed task as long as the app is installed. After uninstalling, you have 90 days to reinstall and roll back - see cancel or uninstall.
Can I edit a sale while it’s active?
Section titled “Can I edit a sale while it’s active?”Only the end date and time. For any other change, disable the sale and create a new one - the Duplicate button makes that quick. See edit a sale.
What happens if I change prices manually during a sale?
Section titled “What happens if I change prices manually during a sale?”When the sale ends, the app restores the prices it recorded before the sale started - a manual edit made while the sale ran is overwritten by the restore. Make manual price changes after the sale ends, or disable the sale, adjust prices, and create a new one.
The same applies to changes made by other apps. If a third-party app keeps overriding your sale prices, see automatic re-apply.
Why don’t my sale products show a discount badge?
Section titled “Why don’t my sale products show a discount badge?”The storefront shows a discount only when compare at price is set higher than the price. If you decreased the price without setting compare at price, there’s no original price to cross out. When creating the sale, select Set to old price (discount) under compare at price - see using sales.
How is this different from Shopify discounts?
Section titled “How is this different from Shopify discounts?”The app changes actual product prices and sets compare at price, so discounts show on product pages and collection pages - no codes, no checkout rules, and it works with any theme feature that reads prices. Shopify discounts apply at cart and checkout instead, and automatic discounts don’t mark products down on the product page.
The two can stack: a discount code applies on top of a sale price unless you restrict it - see block discount codes during a sale.
What’s the difference between “Products on sale” and “Product variants on sale”?
Section titled “What’s the difference between “Products on sale” and “Product variants on sale”?”Both exclude discounted items, at different granularity. Products on sale skips the whole product if any variant is discounted. Product variants on sale skips only the discounted variants and still changes the rest. See exclude discounted products.
Why won’t my new task or sale create?
Section titled “Why won’t my new task or sale create?”Usually duplicate protection: the app blocks a new task or sale whose targeting and changes match one that’s still in progress. Wait for the matching one to finish, or cancel it.
One more cause for tasks: a completed task with Automatically re-apply price changes enabled on the same products blocks new tasks until you disable re-apply on it - the app tells you which task conflicts.
Does it work with large catalogs and Shopify Plus?
Section titled “Does it work with large catalogs and Shopify Plus?”Yes. The app meets the Built for Shopify standard, works on Shopify Plus, supports products with up to 2,000 variants, and handles up to 150,000 products per task or sale on the Premium plan.
Why did my gift card price stop at 9999?
Section titled “Why did my gift card price stop at 9999?”The app caps gift card prices at 9999 in your store currency to stay within Shopify’s gift card constraints. Price changes that would push a gift card above that are applied at the cap.
Can I slow down price changes?
Section titled “Can I slow down price changes?”Yes. If your infrastructure listens to product update webhooks, a burst of bulk changes can overwhelm it. We can configure a delay between price changes (for example, 2 seconds) for your store - contact support@platmart.io and we’ll set it up.
Where do I see what a task actually changed?
Section titled “Where do I see what a task actually changed?”Open the task’s Details. The log lists every variant with its old and new price, compare at price, and cost per item, and it’s searchable.
