Troubleshooting
The most common problems, by symptom. If yours isn’t here, email support@platmart.io with the task or sale title and we’ll dig in.
Prices are still discounted after a sale ended
Section titled “Prices are still discounted after a sale ended”First check the sale’s status in the sales list. If it shows Disabling or Applying, the restore is still running - speed depends on your Shopify plan (see how long price changes take).
If the sale completed but some products still show old sale prices, the leftover discounts usually come from somewhere else - an earlier promotion, another app, or manual edits. Fix them in one sweep with a restore original prices task applied to Products on sale.
A task or sale is stuck in Pending or Applying
Section titled “A task or sale is stuck in Pending or Applying”Large catalogs take time: at ~400 products per minute on Shopify Basic, 20,000 products is close to an hour, and cost or margin tasks take twice that. Open Details to check whether the change count is still moving.
If it hasn’t moved for a long time, you can cancel the task or cancel the sale - already-applied changes are rolled back - then email support@platmart.io so we can check what happened.
A new task or sale won’t create
Section titled “A new task or sale won’t create”Duplicate protection blocks a new task or sale whose targeting and changes match one that’s still in progress. Wait for the matching one to finish, or cancel it.
For tasks there’s a second cause: a completed task with Automatically re-apply price changes enabled on the same products. The error names the conflicting task - disable re-apply on it first.
Products don’t show a discount badge
Section titled “Products don’t show a discount badge”Your theme shows a discount only when compare at price is higher than the price. If you only decreased the price, there’s nothing to cross out. Recreate the sale with Set to old price (discount) selected under compare at price, or for a permanent discount use the two-field setup in set discount prices.
Sale prices keep changing back
Section titled “Sale prices keep changing back”Another app is probably rewriting prices - inventory syncs, ERP connectors, and other pricing apps are the usual suspects. On the Premium plan, enable Automatically re-apply price changes (every hour) on the sale so the app keeps re-applying the sale prices - see track condition changes. Longer term, exclude the affected products from the other app’s sync.
Draft products didn’t change
Section titled “Draft products didn’t change”By default, tasks and sales apply to active products only. To include drafts, open the app’s Settings page and set Apply price changes to to Active and draft products, then rerun the task.
A rollback restored prices I didn’t expect
Section titled “A rollback restored prices I didn’t expect”Rollback restores the values recorded when that task ran - and cancels any newer price changes made to the same products in between (see rollback changes). If prices moved after the task (manually or by another task), the rollback still returns products to their pre-task state. Check the task’s Details log to see exactly what was restored, and create a new task to set the prices you want now.
